CADET BOOTS & CLOTHING

Since 1949 The Cadet Kit Shop has been the official store for the Army Cadet Force.

The Cadet Kit Shop now serves all Cadet Forces as well as regulars and territorial army.

Customers also include film and television production companies, re-enactment games, airsoft, paintball and outdoor walking / trekking activities. Cadet Kit Shop is Part of the All Arms Organisation, an MoD contractor with a history dating back well into the 19th Century.

WE ARE THE OFFICIAL CADET KIT SHOP

In 1949 the fore-runner of the Cadet Kit Shop started its life based in Buckingham Gate, London, SWl. Sited next door to the Queen's Westminster's Rifles TA, The London Scottish Regiment TA and also a stone's throw from Wellington Barracks, a spiritual home of the Foot Guards.

The Ministry of Defence became responsible for its change of location and it was moved to the Army Cadet Force Training Centre at Frimley, Surrey. With the progress of time, the Ministry of Defence decided that it would sever its connection with its commercial counterpart. A bid tender was advertised and applicants were given the opportunity to make their presentations and bid documents to acquire the management and ownership.

Ammo & Company Ltd were enthusiastic to obtain a retail platform to end-users. Their marketing arm was producing 'Birmingham Metal Bashing' such as regimental badges, buttons, furniture for cross belts, waist belts and the like and were already major suppliers to the Official Cadet Kit Shop as it became known. Ammo & Company Ltd are also contractors to the Ministry of Defence and deal directly with all branches of the Armed Forces in the UK as well as extensively overseas.

Ammo was successful in the bid and obtained the total acquisition including its intellectual property in January 2007. The future of The Official Cadet Kit Shop was secure and we relish the growth and expansion online. The product range is expanded rapidly over the past few months to cover a wide range of kit for the Army Cadet Force, Combined Cadet Force, Sea Cadets, Air Training Corps, RAF and VCC.
