    ACF Badges

Our Army Cadet Force badges collection showcases the rich diversity of skills, achievements, and appointments that define the cadet journey. Each badge represents specific accomplishments within the structured ACF training programme, creating visible recognition that motivates continued development while identifying specialist skills within cadet units.

Achievement badges mark significant milestones in cadet progression. The prestigious Master Cadet badge represents the pinnacle of cadet attainment, recognising those who have completed extensive training and demonstrated exceptional leadership potential. Similarly, training programme badges acknowledge progression through the Army Proficiency Certificate (APC) syllabus, visually marking each cadet's advancement through structured learning pathways.

Specialist qualification badges identify particular skills that contribute to unit capability. From Musicians and Drummers to Signallers and Radio Users, these distinctive insignia recognise cadets who have developed specialised knowledge that enhances overall unit performance. Instructional badges—including Method of Instruction, Drill Instructor, and Instructional Techniques—acknowledge cadets who have developed the ability to pass on knowledge to others.

Honorary appointments receive appropriate recognition through badges like the Lord Lieutenant's and Deputy Lord Lieutenant's Cadet insignia. These prestigious appointments identify cadets selected to represent their units at civic functions, acknowledging their exceptional standards and ambassadorial qualities.

National award schemes integrated into cadet training, particularly the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, receive appropriate recognition through dedicated badges that acknowledge achievement across physical, skills, volunteering and expedition components.

Since 1949, Cadet Kit Shop has provided official ACF badges that adhere to organisational standards. These carefully designed insignia ensure cadets receive appropriate recognition for their achievements while maintaining the structured progression system that underpins the Army Cadet Force's successful youth development programme.
