Our comprehensive survival equipment collection provides cadets with the practical tools needed to develop self-reliance and field skills during training exercises. Each item has been selected to build confidence and capability in outdoor environments while teaching valuable lessons in preparation and resourcefulness.
Field training represents the practical application of cadet learning, where classroom knowledge transforms into hands-on skills. Our collection supports this development through essential hydration equipment like the iconic Pattern 58 water bottle and modern carriers, fundamental shelter components including bivvy bags and sleeping mats, and practical tools for navigation, lighting, and field cooking.
The equipment range balances authentic military styling with appropriate cadet specifications. Items like the compact survival kit and first aid equipment introduce cadets to essential emergency preparedness, while practical components like all-weather notebooks and map cases support the development of fieldcraft and navigation skills central to cadet training.
Personal organisation and equipment maintenance form important aspects of cadet development. Field-ready items like the MTP-compatible notebook holder, elastic bungees, and sewing kit teach practical lessons in kit management and self-sufficiency during exercises.
These skills build confidence while developing the systematic approach to equipment that characterises effective field operations.
Beyond individual items, our collection helps cadets assemble coordinated field systems that work together effectively. From camp cooking equipment to shelter components, each element complements others to create a functional field kit appropriate for cadet training requirements.
Since 1949, we have provided quality equipment that supports cadet field training across the UK. Our survival collection continues this tradition, offering practical tools that develop the self-reliance and outdoor competence that remain central to the cadet experience.
