Webtex Full Size PLCE System

This was bought for me, the Christmas I joined cadets. It is still in fine working order 2 years later, the bergen is extremely durable, the only thing i suggest doing though, is changing the clip on the waist strap, mine snapped whilst on a non-field company camp, which was annoying, but i soon found a replacement PLCE one, (it was the male side that snapped, which meant i could replace it without un-stitching anything. The bergen has lots of pockets, the top pocket, is the perfect size for carrying a basha with bungees and tent pegs. The side pouches are really useful with the fact you can take them off to make a daysack with the yoke provided (even better!) and the front pouch fits a water bottle plus a few small things inside it. Inside, there is two compartments, one on the inside of the lid, and the main compartment, the main compartment has a water proof snow cover on a draw string. And fits more than enough kit that a cadet would need for a field weekend. This gets a 3* rating, because of my experience with it, because the waist buckle broke, and because it doesn't have a chest strap, which yes, isn't an expensive purchase, and isn't needed in the field. But it meant purchasing another rucksack for use on expeditions.
