Tried & Tested
Patrol Boots - Martin, Customer Service Department
Having needed a decent, durable pair of boots for a while but unwilling to pay the small fortune some manufacturers ask I was pleased to find the cheaper Cadet Kit Shop Patrol boots very hardwearing and comfortable, I wear them daily and probably walk about 3-4 miles a day without any problems, they clean easily and didn’t need breaking in which was a godsend. I asked for an urgent delivery on the order and it was with me on the next working day.

Under Armour Cold Weather Long Johns and Long Sleeved Top - Andy, Sales Department
I decided to put my under amour cold weather gear to the test during a recent snow boarding trip in the very cold Canadian mountains and I have to say I was extremely impressed with its performance, not only was it a very comfy fit enabling good all round movement but kept me comfortably warm without the need for the many layers I normally wear. I was interested to see the benefits of the moisture transport system whilst in use and yet again I wasn’t disappointed. It made a huge difference to my comfort levels during my trip away and I would recommend this product to anyone with similar activities in mind.

Snugpak Sleeper Lite - Rob, Accounts Department
I had to buy new sleeping bag early last summer in the knowledge it was going to be used whilst completing the three peaks challenge and also at a couple music festivals I was going to be camping at. The Sleeper Lite was competitively priced and I am really chuffed about how durable it has been and couldn’t believe how warm it kept me on a few very chilly nights. It comes with a stuff sack so storage and packing up is quick and easy unlike other bags I have used in the past.

Camo Rucksack Cover - Becky, Marketing Department
I already owned a small black rucksack which I used to put my water bladder and other vital supplies in. I needed to become camouflaged for a paintball tournament and instead of purchasing a new day sack I just bought the Camo rucksack cover which covered my 33 litre rucksack and only cost me £10.99. It kept my rucksack pretty clean underneath even though it did take a bit of a beating from the paint!

Hand Warmers - Becky, Marketing Department
I can honestly say this is the best £1.49 I have EVER spent, I went to a music festival in August and although the weather was quite warm in the day, it was chilly at night and as I tend to feel the cold I thought I would invest in a couple of the hand warmers. They did not let me down they stayed warm throughout the night for about 6 hours. I now take them skiing with me and wear them inside my gloves.

Crusader cooking System - Andy, Sales Team
I have had a few cooking systems in the past but not one that is as compact and space efficient as the Crusader. The fact that it can all be contained within a small pouch that can be attached to the outside of my rucksack is a huge benefit when using this in the field. I have recently been on exercise on the wet and windy Brecon Beacons and had no problems with the fuel being blown out due to the wind block design on the unit. Not something I can say for other cooking systems I have used in the past. I can highly recommend this product to anyone needing a compact but very effective cooking unit when wanting to travel light.
